Saraswati Bhuvan Education Society (S.B.E.S.) is one of the oldest educational institutions in Maharashtra. S.B.E.S. was founded in 1915 and was founded by Panditrao Pargaonkar, Rajaram Ramchandra, Vasant Balawant Vasishth, Devidas Sahu, Srinivas Vakil, Digambardasji Chaudhari, Tukaram Pant, Renukadas Vakil et al. The institute is headquartered in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. S.B.E.S. is one of the leading educational institutions contributing to educational, social, literary, and cultural activism of Marathwada region of Maharashtra and completing 100 years in 2015, has established multiple colleges, high-schools, middle-schools, and primary schools with more than 20,000 students.
History
S.B.E.S. was founded in 1915 with the objective of providing quality education in the native Marathi Language in the erstwhile kingdom of Hyderabad under the ruler Nizam of Hyderabad where the administrative language enforced on the citizens was Urdu. The institution has been through many ups and downs during its life. Being the only educational institution providing education in the native Marathi Language resulted in over one year of delay in getting approval from the local administration.

Saraswati Bhuvan Prashala
Started on 16th March 1915 for grades 1-5. The school was started with 25 students and one teacher. However, by the end of the year, the student strength reached 125. The school didn't have its own building and the assembly started in a temporary shelter at Vitthal Bagh. The first ten years of the institute didn't have any state/government funding and was dependent on patron donations, student fees, and volunteer teachers. The co-ed [1] school currently offers grade 1-10 education in Marathi language and English instruction medium. [2] [3]. The school is affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and is located in the heart of historic Aurangabad city.
Sharada Mandir Girl's school
Started on 3rd April 1916 for grades 1-4. The exclusive girls' school started with just 21 girls during the first year and offered education in Marathi, English, and Urdu medium. [4] The school is affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and is located in the heart of historic Aurangabad city.
