Sarangpur is a small village of 65.14 hectares in Lalganj Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarangpur depends on Mahrajganj (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sarangpur's pin code is 276201[4], and village code is 08524400. The area of Sarangpur is segregated as 129 hectares irrigated area. the 3.151 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
