Saran is a small village of 1159 hectares in Marwar Junction Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saran depends on Sojat Road, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Saran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Saran's pin code is 306023[4], and village code is 02446000. The area of Saran is segregated as 329 hectares irrigated area, 236.65 hectares unirrigated, the 313 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 128.85 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saran is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3918 and has total administration over 806 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat Road and Pali to sell shoes and make their living.
