Sara Tvilling, Sara Aaby Tvilling Larsen, daughter of former politician Niels Tvilling Larsen [1] [2] [3] and Vivian Grauting [4], as well as a descendant from the founder of Strandby harbor, Niels Tvilling [5].

Sara Tvilling first entered politics in 2018, where she served as a member of the Aalborg Youth Council. She gained the position as the youth council's Head of Health and Culture committee, before then getting elected as the head of the Climate and Sustainability comittee the following year.

In 2022 she was elected as the chairman of the Aalborg Youthcouncil [6] [7] [8] [9], and has by being outspoken about issues such as climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, inequality, mental health, and the lack of proper and inclusive (sex)education, through speeches [10] [11] , interviews [12] and participation in public political discussions and debates [13] also earned two nominations for the Nordic Pioneer Price, once in 2021 and again in 2022 [14] .

She is additionally known for playing a role in the project that earned Aalborg its "Child Friendly Cities Initiative" certificate, where she was prescent, alongside a representative from Fælleselevrådet as well as the then-mayor, Thomas Kastrup Larsen, to receive the physical certificate, which was given at a public ceremony in 2022 by the Danish UNICEF general secretary. Sara Tvilling also competed in the 2019 Danish Championship of the languages Danish and English, hosted by DMIFagene [20] [21], and has alternately been linked to model agencies such as Unique Models and LeManagement throughout the years [22] [23] .
