Sara Seligman is a Mexican director, writer and producer.
After directing hare short films Diego (2014) and Kosnin (2016) Sara wrote and directed her debut feature film Coyote Lake (2019). The psychological thriller drama stars Camila Mendes and Adriana Barraza, telling the story of a mother and daughter running a small bed-and-breakfast near the U.S.-Mexico border, who find themselves entangled with two dangerous guests. The film explores themes of familial bonds, survival, and hidden secrets, with a focus on building psychological tension.
In 2024, Seligman made her television directorial debut with Hotel Cocaine, directing episodes 5 and 6 of the MGM+ crime thriller. Set against the backdrop of Miami's late 1970s and early 1980s cocaine trade, the series follows Roman Compte, a Cuban exile and general manager of the infamous Hotel Mutiny. The series stars Danny Pino, Yul Vazquez, Michael Chiklis, Mark Feuerstein, Laura Gordon, Corina Bradley, Tania Watson, Mayra Hermosillo, Juan Pablo Raba.
Beyond her work as a director, Seligman has significant experience as a producer in both advertising and scripted content. She has worked on radio and television spots for brands such as Hyundai, Genesis, and Champions, among others. In the scripted arena, she has produced content for Hulu's Bite Size Halloween, Bite Size Holiday, Ramadan America, and LALIFF's Supa Hair, as well as numerous independent short films.
