Sar is a small village of 2328 hectares in Luni Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sar depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 0.04% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Sar's pin code is 342801[4], and village code is 01999800. The area of Sar is segregated as 0.08 hectares irrigated area, 2040.39 hectares unirrigated, remaining 287.94 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sar is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2902 and has total administration over 533 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
