Sanwata is a small village of 1669 hectares in Osian Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sanwata depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sanwata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Sanwata's pin code is 342311[4], and village code is 01934200. The area of Sanwata is segregated as 25.48 hectares irrigated area, 1407 hectares unirrigated, the 170 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 66.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sanwata is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1238 and has total administration over 196 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell wool and make their living.
