Sankhana is a small village of 910 hectares in Tonk Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sankhana depends on Tonk, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Sankhana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sankhana's pin code is 304001[4], and village code is 02644400. The area of Sankhana is segregated as 388 hectares irrigated area, 258.2 hectares unirrigated, the 159.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 100.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sankhana is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2031 and has total administration over 378 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tonk to sell carpet and make their living.
