Sangre de Muerdago is a neofolk galician band based in Leipzig (Germany) led by Pablo Caamiña Ursusson.[1][2][3]

Their lyrics, sung in galician, are inspired by the galician tradition and deal with themes related to nature with mystical elements.[1] They make use of traditional musical instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy and the nyckelharpa. They have musicalized poems by galician writters like Rosalía de Castro, Celso Emilio Ferreiro and Manuel María.[1]

Ursusson began his musical career as a member of the crust punk group Ekkaia.[4] Together with Jorge Olson de Abreu, they started Sangre de Muerdago and released their first demo in 2007. Afterwards, they recorded their self-titled first full-length album in 2009.[1]

Subsequently, Ursusson has been part of other musical projects, such as the crust punk group Cop on Fire and the black metal band Antlers.[4]
