Sangolda is a small village of 339 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sangolda depends on CANDOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sangolda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sangolda's pin code is 403511[5], and village code is 00005500. The area of Sangolda is segregated as 207.95 hectares unirrigated, the 65.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65.83 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sangolda has One post office (Sangolda B.O) and Four public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Sangolda has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Sangolda is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 4429 and has total administration over 1084 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of CANDOLIM and North Goa to sell groundnuts and make their living.
