Sandeep Varier was born in Chethallur. From an early age, he showed an inclination toward public service and leadership.
Political Career
Sandeep Varier’s political journey has seen significant shifts over the years.[2] During his youth, He was a member of the SFI. He was initially attracted to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after being influenced by prominent leaders like L.K. Advani[1] and others within the party’s leadership. However, in 2024, he resigned from the BJP, citing ideological differences, and joined the Indian National Congress to align more closely with his evolving political beliefs.[3] He was promoted from state spokesperson to KPCC General Secretary on the 16th of October 2025 along with 57 other people.[4][5][6][7]
Election History
While still a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sandeep Varier contested from the Shornur constituency as an MLA candidate but finished in third place getting 36,973 Votes[8]
