Sand is a small village of 826 hectares in Nimbahera Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sand depends on Nimbahera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sand is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Sand's pin code is 312613[4], and village code is 03666300. The area of Sand is segregated as 131.07 hectares irrigated area, 83.29 hectares unirrigated, the 190.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 239.18 hectare area not available for cultivation.
