Samrat Pharmachem Limited (SPL) was incorporated on 16th June, 1992, at Ankleshwar in Gujarat State of India. The company was promoted by Mr. Lalit Mehta & Mr. Rajesh Mehta, carrying forward the business legacy Mr. Megh Mehta joined in 2015. SPL is a listed company & its shares are traded on Bombay Stock Exchange since 1995. SPL is currently manufacturing Iodine Derivatives. The finished products produced by the company are used in various industries like Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Food, Fertilizer, Salt etc. They are exported by the company to all continents of the world. The company has its corporate office at Mumbai, Maharastra & its factory at Ankleshwar, Gujarat.[1][2]

History

Samrat Pharmachem Limited led by the founder Mr. Lalit Mehta who was into various pharma products for many years gaining experience. He has been a part of the company & the pharma industry since the year 1965.

1992: Company decided to focus on manufacturing of Iodine Derivatives & hence, incorporated the company under new name Samrat Pharmachem.

1995: Samrat Pharmachem became Public Limited and its shares were listed & traded on Bombay Stock Exchange. SPL acquired more factory land besides its existing plant to increase its production capacity and cater to a larger market.[3]

2006: SPL constructed additional factory space viewing future growth in volumes.

2011: SPL acquired a new corporate office at Andheri West, Mumbai.

2017: SPL constructed more production space & expanded its product line to cater higher volumes for its customers.[4]

Products

The finished products manufactured by SPL have their applications in various industries like Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Animal Feed, Colorants & Dyes, Food & Preservatives, Agrochemical, Textile & Tyre etc.

SPL manufactures products like Potassium Iodate which is used in Salt Iodization, Ethylenediamine Dihydroiodide, 3-5 Diiodo Salicylic Acid & Calcium Iodate which are used in animal feed. Tri Methyl Sulfoxonium Iodide used to manufacture anti-fungal drugs. Methyl Iodide is used for preparation of pesticides & biocides, Copper Iodide is used in manufacturing Tyre Cords. Sodium Metaper Iodate & Periodic Acid are used in preparation of color for printing industry. Potassium Iodide is used in LCD Screens & X-ray Contrast Media, Sodium Iodide used for manufacturing drugs used for treatment of HyperTension & Povidone Iodine used in disinfectants & sanitation products. SPL has other iodine derivatives with their applications in different industries.[5]

Share Holding Pattern
