Samooja is a small village of 1989 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Samooja depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 896.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Samooja is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Samooja's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02284500. The area of Samooja is segregated as 896 hectares irrigated area, 888 hectares unirrigated, the 132 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
