Samarendra Nath Sen (1st February 1938 – 14 November 2015), was an Indian politician and attorney. He was the 1st General Secretary of the Bhartiya Janata Party, Cachar District Committee in the year 1980 which was the first District Committee in the North Eastern Region. Thereafter, as a mark of recognition for his selfless service to the people he was elected as the President, BJP, Cachar District Committee in 1982 and remained as such till 1988.

He was born in 1938 in Machli, Bhanga in Karimganj district (Assam), completed his schooling and graduation in Silchar before completing his Law degree at Calcutta University.

He contested the state assembly elections from Silchar constituency in the year 1991 and was duly elected as the First Bhartiya Janata Party MLA from the Silchar, Assam with a record margin of 13851 votes and served his complete tenure until 1996.
