Samantha Downing (San Francisco Bay) is an American crime writer, based in New Orleans.
Life and career
Her first book, My lovely wife (later translated into French as Pas de secrets entre nous and into Spanish as Mi adorada esposa) to a literary publisher, achieving a tremendous success among the public and also being nominated for the Edgar, ITW and Macavity in the United States, and for the CWA in the United Kingdom and being awarded with the Grand Prix des Lectrices. In addition, Amazon Studios has acquired film rights to this Samantha Downing’s international bestseller, and is partnered on the film with Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films.[4]
Her second book, He started it, was released in 2020 and instantly became an international bestseller. [5]
Her third thriller, For your own good, released in the USA on July 20, 2021 and an instant bestseller on the USA Today bestseller list, is "Set in a prestigious private school, with nosy parents, overzealous students, and a teacher who just wants to teach everyone a lesson..."[6] [7]
