Samaneh Pakdel (Persian: سمانه پاکدل) (born October 26, 1987) is an Iranian actress who was born in Isfahan, Iran.[1] Pakdel's career started when she got the role of Mahtab in the Iranian TV-show Delnavazan in 2009.[2]
Biography
Samaneh Pakdel was born in Isfahan in Iran on October 26, 1987 and is the youngest of three siblings. From an early age, Samaneh Pakdel found a growing interest in acting and by the age of 17 had decided to pursue it by going to film school, an idea Pakdel's parents weren't fond of. She explained in an interview to Mehran Modiri on Dorehami that her parents refused to support her wishes of acting, which instead led her to study psychology. During her free time Samaneh would secretly take theatre classes and assist producers for shows before being given roles to play.[3]
By the age of 24, Samaneh got her big break after being casted to play Mahtab in the Iranian drama TV-show Delnavazan.[4]
Pakdel has since Delnavazan acted in a series of movies and TV series, one including reality show شمالی Shomali (Persian: ۱۳ شمالی), in 2017 where she would come to meet her now husband Hadi Kazemi, whom she got married to in August of 2018. Their marriage was announced on the Iranian media outlet TV Plus[5] and attracted high media coverage.
