Sam Grow is an American country music artist signed to the record label Average Joe’s in Nashville, TN. As of July 2020, Grow’s current single ‘Song About You’ has more than 7 Million streams worldwide on digital streaming platforms. His last full length album, May 2019’s ‘Love & Whiskey’ released through Average Joe’s debuted #1 on the iTunes country album charts.

Early Life

Grow is a native of Maryland and began his career by making coffee and lattes for people at a local coffee shop in Mechanicsville, MD while singing and entertaining during small acoustic sets at the shop. He would practice writing, live performing and entertaining in between orders.

Career Highlights

Grow began pursuing music professionally when he was 17 and formed his first band ‘The Sam Grow Band’ in his home state of Maryland. Originally a pop, blues and rock fusion sound, Grow slowly moved to his true calling of country music over the course of the first few years of performing.

In addition to small gigs and coffee shop performances, Grow famously performed a song with Kanye West on the stage of Maryland when West was visiting to support a charity initiative launched by West’s father.

In 2014 Grow relocated full time to Nashville TN and immediately signed his first publishing deal with Ole Publishing (now Anthem Music).[1] Grow wrote weekly and honed his skill as both a songwriter, demo singer and live artist. Grow is affiliated with BMI for songwriter representation.

Grow remained an independent artist releasing and recording music on his own until he signed his first record deal with Average Joe’s Nashville in the Fall of 2018. [2]. In addition to Grow, Average Joe’s is Home to country and mud bog artists such as Colt Ford, Montgomery Gentry, Carter Winter, Sarah Ross, Cypress Springs and several others.

In 2019, Billboard magazine named Grow one of ‘7 Country Acts to Watch in 2019’. Highlighted alongside 6 other rising country stars, Grow was featured for his success to date and potential for superstardom moving forward. [3]

EP and Album Releases

Grow has released multiple EP’s including ‘Reveal’, ‘Is It You’, ‘A Little Like Me’ and ‘The Blame’. ‘The Blame’ EP peaked at #42 on the nationwide album sales charts as a completely independent release without record label support. [4] To date, his only full length album released has been 2019’s ‘Love & Whiskey’. A new EP is planned for Fall 2020 through Average Joe’s Nashville.
