The Salty Dog Cafe is a dining and shopping destination located in South Beach Marina Village on Hilton Head Island, Hilton Head Island, SC. It later expanded, opening restaurants and stores in Seabrook Island, Seabrook Island, SC and Bluffton, Bluffton, SC , as well as, one store located inKey West, FL.[1]

History
Salty Dog was an American heritage brand first introduced in 1937 by Canton Textile Mills. Later transferring ownership to the Gant Corporation, followed by Philips Van Heusen before being acquired by a joint effort between Gordon Brothers Brands and Brand, LLC. Gordon Brothers Brand and Brand, LLC later sold the Salty Dog apparel brand to Jake Dog, LLC,[2] leading to the final acquisition by John Braddocks, Inc. and The Salty Dog, Inc. This venture later became a collection of Restaurants and Apparel Stores.
Restaurant Industry
The Salty Dog Cafe, the Restaurant, began in 1987, at the sites main headquarters at the South Beach Marina in Hilton Head Island, SC. The restaurant is owned and operated by John Braddock's, Inc and the Salty Dog Inc. The Salty Dog Cafe now includes other restaurants, retail locations, an inn, tackleshops, ice cream shops, and boat cruises, with locations spanning Bluffton, SC, Seabrook Island,SC and Key West Florida.
The Salty Dog Cafe also owns other Seasonal Restaurants and Events: Land's End Tavern, The Wreck of The Salty Dog, Jake's Pizza, Kiwi's Takeout, Salty Dog Ice Cream, and Boat Cruises that offer dining.[3]
