Salih Can Açıksöz is a medical and cultural anthropologist. He won the 2020 Fatema Mernissi Book Award for his book Sacrificial Limbs: Masculinity, Disability, and Political Violence in Turkey[1] from the Middle East Studies Association.[2] He is currently an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles.[3]
