Salawas is a small village of 4066 hectares in Luni Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Salawas depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 270.50% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Salawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Salawas's pin code is 342013[4], and village code is 01994700. The area of Salawas is segregated as 270.5 hectares irrigated area, 3221.7 hectares unirrigated, the 169.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 404.25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Salawas has One post office (Salawas B.O) and One Hundred Ninety public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Salawas has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Salawas is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6592 and has total administration over 1067 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell mats and make their living.
