Salarwas is a small village of 248 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Salarwas depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 63.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Salarwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Salarwas's pin code is 303104[4], and village code is 01577300. The area of Salarwas is segregated as 63 hectares irrigated area, 66 hectares unirrigated, the 57 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Jaipur to sell leather shoes and make their living.
