Sachithra Rahubadda is the Founder and Director of Red Apple International Theatre Gathering which have now 43 Countries, 20 National Centers, and over 3800 members all around the world. He is the Chairman of Dream Factory Theatre Company and also a Founder and General Secretary at the South Asian Theatre Association.

He went to Thurstan College and started studying drama and theatre and producing dramas at school age. For higher studies, he obtained a (BA) Bachelor's Degree in Drama and Theatre from the University of Kelaniya, a (MA) Masters for Drama and Theatre from the University of Kelaniya, Diploma in Mass Communication and Writer ship from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura and he is a 3-year Diploma holder at Sinhala Cultural Institute about Practical Theater and Drama, Diploma Holder Teleview Production Academy about TV and Film Productions, Diploma Holder from “Prathiba Niketha” conducted by Lyceum International School for Physical Drama and Theater, Diploma holder about Information Technology in University of Moratuwa.

Accordingly, he conducts workshops[1] and stage dramas in schools around the country, and as a result of this "The Red Apple International Theatre Gathering" was founded. Thereafter gathering children and youth of Sri Lanka and giving them the necessary training, he takes a genuine effort to bring out their talents of them. Many of his students are contributing to many creations throughout the country.

As a Theatre Instructor in Children's Drama, he has more than 15 years of experience. From 2015 - 2019 he participated in and won all the awards at State Children's Theatre Festival Awards. Laughing Dreams[2][3], Tickerty Tale Teller, DoReMiFaSoLaTi[4], and Wings of Love[5] are the dramas he produces from 2015 to participate in State Children's Theatre Festival.

Also as a Theatre Practitioner in Nonverbal Physical Theatre, he Directed Children's Dance Outdoor Drama "Story about Love" in 2016, and Children's Dancing Drama "Puberty"[6] in 2017.

And as a Youth Drama Director, he directed more than 30 dramas[7] from 2011 - the present.

Not only in National Theatre[8] he is actively engaged in International Theatre[9] since 2016 and has participated in many more International Theatre Festivals[10] in many countries.

Early Life

Childhood and family

Sachithra Rahubadda was born on June 29, 1987, in Colombo, Sri Lanka to Rahubadde Vidanalage Dharmasiri and Suneetha Dias. He is the first of three children with one brother and one sister. At school age, he started studying drama and theatre and producing dramas. He was able to achieve state-level awards at a young age and the reason is that his way of seeing and thinking is unique and creative. Because of this, his plays have always stood out among other plays.

Education

He attended President's College, Rajagiriya for primary education and then moved to Thurstan College, Colombo after passing the grade 5 scholarship exam.

For higher studies;

• Obtained a (BA)Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kelaniya. (sub- Drama and Theater, Sinhala, Mass communication)

• Obtained a (MA)Masters in Drama and Theater at the University of Kelaniya.

• Obtained a Diploma in Mass Communication and writership at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.

• 3-year Diploma holder at Sinhala Cultural Institute in Practical Theater and Drama.

• Diploma Holder Teleview Production Academy about TV and film Productions.

• Diploma Holder from “Prathiba Niketha” conducted by Lyceum International School for Physical Drama and Theater.
