Sachin Gangadhar Lokapure (born 11 October 1986) is an Indian microscopist and pharmaceutical scientist. He is known for his work on laboratory instrumentation and microscopy-related research. Indian news media have reported his inclusion in the Limca Book of Records and the India Book of Records in connection with patent activity related to laboratory and optical devices.[1][2]
Education
Lokapure completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He later obtained a Master of Pharmacy degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
Career
Lokapure is associated with Appasaheb Birnale College of Pharmacy, Sangli, where he has been involved in academic and research activities. He is also linked with SAGLO Research Industry, an organization engaged in the development of optical and laboratory equipment related to microscopy.[3]
Research
Lokapure’s research interests include microscopy instrumentation and laboratory methods for microbial analysis. His published work includes studies on bacterial motility detection and digital microscopy systems. In 2020, he reported a disk-based method for differentiating motile and non-motile bacteria using optical observation, which was published in an engineering research journal.[4]
