Sabrina Abbott (b.1985) is an artist and creator of the Perceptionist Art movement.[1] Abbott created this movement while studying abroad at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy in 2005. She also interned as curator Dr. Giovanna Giusti's assistant at the Uffizi museum.[2] In 2009 Abbott moved to Paris, France where she worked at the Louvre Museum. While living in France, she was invited by Pierre Cardin to exhibit her paintings in a solo show at the Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, France.[3] Abbott returned to the United States and in 2013 a retrospective of her work was shown at the California Museum in Sacramento, California.[4] In addition to her painting, Abbott was perhaps the youngest female daily published cartoonist with her comic, "Life of Lucas" that was published in the Siskyou Daily News on Friday, October 26, 2001.[5] when she turned sixteen.[6]
