S6 is a set of utility programs for process/service supervision and management, logging and system initialization[3], thus functionally resembling runit and daemontools. Designed to be small yet powerful, it is suitable for resource constrained deployments, like containers[4][5]or embedded systems[6].
It is available in major Linux distributions like Gentoo[7][8] or Debian[9]
