Ryszard Praszkier (born 13 May 1945) is an academic researcher, and the founder of the possibilitivity concept i.e., the propensity for evaluating challenges as doable[1]. He merges practice in the field of social and business innovations (since 1995 at Ashoka) with academic studies, where he is focused on the dynamics of social change, specifically the factors that make change durable and irreversible (e.g., creativity[2], empathy, and possibilitivity[3]) .

Author and co-author of numerous foundational books and articles, e.g., Working Wonders: How to Make the Impossible Happen[1] (2019), Empowering Leadership of Tomorrow[4] (2018), and Social Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice[5] (2012).

Ryszard Praszkier received his Ph.D. in 2007 and his habilitation (post-doctoral degree) in 2017 from the Psychology Department of the University of Warsaw. He is a researcher emeritus at the Institute for Social Studies of the University of Warsaw, a professor at the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK), and a lecturer at the Academy of Leadership Psychology.

Dr. Praszkier studies the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship and, for which he co-authored a related book[5], as well as authored a book chapter titled Social Entrepreneurs Open Closed Worlds[6] and co-authored a chapter called Social Entrepreneurship: Paving the Way for Peace[7]. He also studies the role of civil society in peace processes, e.g., co-authoring the article The Role of Civil Society in the Peace Process of the Basque Country[8]. Interested in peacemaking, he co-authored the article Social Entrepreneurs and Constructive Change: The Wisdom of Circumventing Conflict[9], as well as the study Social Enterprise Sector Vis-à-Vis the Welfare Regime: Following on the Solidarity Movement.
