Ryan J. Dennis (born October 04, 1987) is an American journalist and producer, and entertainment reporter with bylines including its 11Alive’s The A-Scene[1], BET[2], and MadameNoire[3].

Career

Dennis got his start in broadcast news as a production assistant and assignment editor with FOX 29 in Philadelphia, where he interned in the summer of 2009. In 2013, he became web producer[4] for FOX29.com, where he helped manage breaking news content and programming content needs for the station.

Between 2010 and 2013, Dennis also helped small businesses and lifestyle brands expand [5]their businesses through content creation and strategy as an Interactive Content Producer with Skai Blue Media.

In 2016, Ryan joined 11Alive’s news team as a breaking news producer and assignment editor. In 2018, he became and entertainment reporter[6] and producer for The A-Scene, the station’s go-to for behind-the-scenes looks at Georgia’s booming entertainment scene.

Dennis alongside Francesca Amiker covered historic events in Atlanta including the 2019 Super Bowl[7], the 70th Primetime Emmys[8], and the grand opening[9] of Tyler Perry Studios.

In 2020, he and Amiker hosted a master class[10] on “Red Carpet Hosting” and the Black Women Film Network. Later he covered the closing [11]and re-opening[12] of Georgia's film and television industry as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Service

Dennis was a marketing chair[13] on the board of The Philadelphia Gay Tourism Caucus in 2013.

Personal Life

Dennis attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.
