Ruti Regan is a autistic rabbi who works on disability rights in the Jewish world. She is one of the founders and board members of Anachnu, a Jewish organization led by Jews with disabilities promoting disability-informed Torah.
Education
Regan was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where she also received an MA in Liturgy and Ritual Arts.[1]
Advocacy Work
Regan founded Anachnu, a Jewish organization created and run by disabled Jews creating disability-informed Torah[2]. She also serves as the Disability Scholar in Residence at Matan, a nonprofit that works on issues of disability inclusion and access in the Jewish world, particularly for children, and has served as a member of the Disability Inclusion Committee of the Rabbinical Assembly.[3] She also wrote the blog Real Social Skills, which had over 130,000 followers[4]. She was listed on the Jewish Week's 36 under 36 list in 2016 for her work on disability in the Jewish community[5].
Personal Life
Regan married Ari Ne'eman, a disability rights activist, in 2017[6]. They have one child.[7]
