Ruth Katushabe born 23rd November 1982, is a Ugandan Politician and Member of the National Resistance Movement. She serves as a presidential advisor[1] in political affairs having lost the Bukomansimbi member of parliament seat to a National Unity Platform candidate Nandagire Cristine Ndiwalana[2]in 2021. She is a journalist by profession and worked with Uganda media houses before joining politics in 2016.

Background and Education

Katushabe is the daughter of Mr. James Lubega and Mrs. Lubega. She is married to Hajji Brahim Matovu[3].She attended Lake Mburo High School, Namirembe Hillside, Makerere University, and Later on Joined Amity University, Noida.

She served as a member of the parliament of Bukomansimbi for five years from 2016 to 2021 when she lost the election[4].

She beat Nandagire in court in 2016 to serve in the 10th Parliament of Uganda and lost to her in 2021[5][6]
