Ruth Isabella Peters (born 09 Nov 1994) is a German author, fashion entrepreneur, and public speaker.[1][2]

Isabella Peters is a visionary fashion editor and poet who has significantly impacted the fashion industry.[3] She has built a strong fan base, with over 200,000 monthly impressions and over 20,000 subscribers across all her social media channels.[4]

Early life and Education

Born in Elmshorn, Isabella Peters grew up in Pinneberg, Germany where she was raised with cultural clashes between German and African traditions and faced racism. Her parents had fled from Nigeria during the Niger delta conflict in the 90s as refugees to Germany. Peters started writing at a young age and has been recognized for her works, particularly in poetry.

She holds a BSc in Criminology and Psychology from London Metropolitan University and an MSc in Intelligence and International Security from King's College London. She also attended Johann-Comenius-Schule in Thesdorf, Germany for secondary education and Helene-Lange-Schule Pinneberg, Germany, for primary education. Peters is fluent in German, English, and French.

Career

Isabella Peters has had a successful career in the fashion industry. She has worked as a Fashion Content Writer at Farfetch and as a writer at Fashion Africa Now, a magazine for African Fashion.[5] Peters is also a promoter of African designers for international spaces and is the founder of Creative, Design & Fashion Week, a new fashion week that merges virtual and physical reality through immersive showrooms and no-runway shows.[6]

In addition to her fashion endeavors, Isabella Peters is also an advocate for diversity, hosting inclusive writing in luxury fashion workshops with well-known brands such as Burberry, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, and Off-White. She also frequently speaks on mental health and identity.[7][8]

Publications

Isabella Peters is also a published author of the book "A Heart of Glass" (2023), a collection of poems. Her works have been published in several anthologies.[9]

Awards

She is the recipient of the Black in Tech Awards 2022.

Peters currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
