Rubika Liyaquat
Rubika Liyaquat (born 18 April 1983) is an Indian journalist and television news anchor, best known for hosting the primetime show Master Stroke on ABP News.[1] She previously worked with major Indian news networks including Live India, News24, and Zee News. Liyaquat is noted for her comparatively relatable presentation style and coverage of political and social issues.[2][3]
Early Life and Education
Born in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Liyaquat grew up in a Muslim family. She attended St. Gregorios Senior Secondary School in Udaipur before earning a Bachelor of Mass Media in Journalism from the University of Mumbai.
Career
Liyaquat began her journalism career in 2003 with a brief three-month internship at Channel 24. In 2007, she joined Live India as an anchor, later moving to News24 in 2008 as a senior correspondent.[4] Her tenure at Zee News made her widely known, particularly for the debate show Taal Thok Ke.[5] In August 2018, she joined ABP News as the host of Master Stroke, a primetime program featuring political analysis and interviews with significant national figures.[6][7]
In April 2019, she was among the select journalists who interviewed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In mid-2023, she reportedly left ABP News and joined Bharat24 (part of the ETV group) as vice-president.[8][9]

Personal Life
Rubika Liyaquat married fellow journalist Naved Qureshi on 28 April 2012. The couple lives in Noida and has one son and one daughter. Her family includes her mother Fatima Liyaquat (a scientist with a PhD), father Amar Liyaquat, and sister Anjum Liyaquat.[10][11]
