Rose Mallinger (1921 – October 27, 2018) was an American woman who was one of the eleven victims killed during the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1] At age 97, she was the oldest of those killed in the attack.[2][3][4]
Funeral
Mallinger's funeral was held on November 2, 2018. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto were among the attendees. Her funeral was widely covered by national media, with many highlighting her age and long standing involvement in the local Jewish community.[5][6]
