Roosevelt University is a private, non-profit institution with campuses in Chicago and Schaumburg in the Chicago metropolitan area. The institution, which was established in 1945 and is named in honour of both the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, was established in 1945.

The institution has around 6,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate and graduate programmes combined. Roosevelt is also home to the Chicago College of Performing Arts, which is located in the neighbourhood. Wabash, the university's newest academic building, is situated in the heart of downtown Chicago's Loop neighbourhood. It is the tallest educational building in Chicago, the second highest educational structure in the United States, and the fourth-largest academic complex in the world, and it is also the tallest educational building in Chicago.
