Roopnagar is a small village of 78 hectares in Bundi Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Roopnagar depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Roopnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Roopnagar's pin code is 323001[3], and village code is 02757400. The area of Roopnagar is segregated as 62 hectares irrigated area, 8 hectares unirrigated, remaining 8 hectare area not available for cultivation.
