Roopnagar is a small village of 432 hectares in Beawar Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Roopnagar depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 89.07% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Roopnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Roopnagar's pin code is 305901[4], and village code is 02514500. The area of Roopnagar is segregated as 89.07 hectares irrigated area, 30.4 hectares unirrigated, the 196.08 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 116.74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Ajmer to sell earthen pot and make their living.
