Roopathal is a small village of 1842 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Roopathal depends on Kuchera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 222.41% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Roopathal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Roopathal's pin code is 341024[4], and village code is 01796000. The area of Roopathal is segregated as 222.41 hectares irrigated area, 1485 hectares unirrigated, the 97 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 37.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kuchera and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
