Rooniya is a small village of 1158 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rooniya depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rooniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Rooniya's pin code is 341027[4], and village code is 01791700. The area of Rooniya is segregated as 1028.67 hectares unirrigated, the 76.69 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 53.02 hectare area not available for cultivation.
