Ron Biscardi is an American businessman and investor. He is known for establishing iConnections, a technology networking platform.[1] He also co-founded Context Capital Partners and its conference arm Context Summits.[2][3]
Education
Biscardi graduated from Saint Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia in 1986. In 1991, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.[4][5]
Career
Beginning in the 1990s, Biscardi worked for over a decade at Susquehanna International Group.[2] He co-founded Context Capital Partners[6] in 2005 and later launched Context Summits in 2013, a series of networking conferences connecting investment managers with asset allocators.[2][3] In 2018, after the SALT Conference paused its Las Vegas edition, Context organized a large Las Vegas gathering.[7][8]
In early 2020, Biscardi left Context. In April 2020, he co-founded iConnections, a networking and events platform that focuses on "cap intro" events.[9][3][1][10] Under Biscardi, iConnections also launched the annual Global Alts conference in Miami, which later expanded to New York and Singapore in partnership with the Managed Funds Association.[1][1][11]
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic during the summer of 2020, Biscardi and iConnections organized Funds 4 Food, an online capital-introduction fundraiser whose registration proceeds were donated to hunger relief charities.[12][13][14] iConnections later launched Funds 4 Minds in 2021, an initiative that supported mental health charities.[15]
