Roman Goncharenko (born 24 October 1997) is a Ukrainian filmmaker. Born and raised in Svitlovodsk, Ukraine[1] .

Early life and education

Goncharenko enrolled in the Alexandria School of Culture after ninth grade, graduating with honors in 2015. In that same year, Roman Goncharenko gained admission to the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, where he enrolled in the "Film and TV Directing" department, under the tutelage of A.V. Melentyev.

Career

Beginning his career at 16, Goncharenko directed "License," his debut short film, which won at the Potential International Festival.[2] [3] [4][5]

In 2021, Goncharenko served as director for Mehdi Rajabian's "Coup of Gods" teaser, attracting international attention and Grammy Awards consideration.[6] [7]

Starting in 2022, he contributed to music videos for artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, ASAP Rocky, and NiziU.His work spans collaborations with notable international brands, including Samsung, Pfizer, ASOS, Renault, and Yves Saint Laurent.[8] [9]
