Raul Dominguez Quizon (October 5, 1958- March 15, 2018), better known as Rolly Quizon, was a Filipino actor, and one of Dolphy's children. He gained recognition for his portrayal of namesake character Rolly Puruntong in the longest Filipino television sitcom John en Marsha. [1]
Life and Career
Raul Dominguez Quizon was born on October 5, 1958 to Dolphy and former actress Engracita Dominguez,[2] him being the youngest among their six children. He has 12 half-siblings. [3]
Quizon's performance in a guesting in Dolphy's Special was noticed by Dolphy, and together with Director Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award|Ading Fernando, included him in the cast of John en Marsha.[4] Quizon starred in most of Dolphy's films under RVQ Productions, including all of John en Marsha movies. [5]
Death
On March 9, 2018, Quizon suffered a stroke in a supermarket.[6] After days in coma, he passed away on March 15. [7] [8] [9]
