Roland Buck III (born April 13, 1988) is an American actor known for his roles in television and film. He portrayed Dr. Noah Sexton on NBC's medical drama "Chicago Med",[1] appeared as Tyler in the Netflix comedy "The Week Of",[2] recurring role in National Geographic's "The Long Road Home"[3] and Alexander "Sherrod" Bradley in the FX American sports drama anthology series American Sports Story.[4]Roland was named one of People Magazine's "Rising Stars You Need To Know" 2017.[5]
Early Life and Education
Born in Chicago, Illinois, to Roland Buck Jr & Peggy Walcott, Buck spent part of his upbringing in Dallas, Texas. He has 5 siblings.[6] He developed an interest in acting during his teenage years, which led him to pursue a degree at the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts.[7]
Career
Buck's early acting career included starring roles in Los Angeles theater productions such as "In the Blood," "Getting Married," and "Arabian Nights."
In television, Buck is best known for his recurring role as Dr. Noah Sexton on NBC's "Chicago Med," a character he portrayed from 2015 to 2021. He also appeared in episodes of "Better Call Saul" and "The Rookie."[8]
His film credits include playing Tyler in the 2018 Netflix comedy "The Week Of," where he starred alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. In 2021, he appeared as Chris in "Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin."[9]
