Rohit Verma aka Rohit K Verma is a celebrity Fashion design with his own studio based in Mumbai[1][2][3][4]. He has worked with multiple films for designing movie costumes, celebrities for fashion show and launching collections. He became popular throughout world with his participation in the television reality show Bigg Boss (Hindi season 3)|Bigg Boss Season 3 in 2009 representing the LGBT community.[5][6] Other than his work as a fashion designer he is also known for playing roles in movies like Fashion (2008 film)|Fashion (2008), Style Strip (2010) & Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.[7]
Early Life
Rohit Verma was born on 8th November 1982 in the city of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.[8][9] He completed his schooling from Boys High School, Allahbad and college from Bishop Johnson School & College. He was inclined towards Fashion Designing right from his childhood which later developed into his profession.[10] He is currently settled in Mumbai along with his Fashion Studio in Bandra.[11]
Career
Rohit Verma made his debut as a costume designer in the Bollywood film industry with the film Main Rony Aur Jony (2007) and then was seen in the film Fashion (2008 film) as Viren. This is where he started gaining fame just when he entered Bigg Boss Bigg Boss in 2009 which multiplied his fan following into thousands and crores.[12] He continued to become a famous personality by hosting Style Strip on Zoom in 2010. He has made various friends in the bollywood industry since then and has had celebrities like Urmila Matondkar|Urmila Matondkar, Sandip Soparrkar and many more gracing his fashion shows and made various social apperances[13]. He also succeeded in securing a place in the 9th Annual India Leadership Conclave 2018 in the top 6 final nominees in the category of "Indian Affairs Most Promising & Innovative Fashion Designer of the Year 2018.[14] He was also seen gracing the Miss Bharat OHIO beauty pageant 2019 awarding Anjali Phougat.[15]
