Robin Safar(Born 30 Nov 1992) also known as "Robz" is a Swedish professional boxer.[1][2] currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada and fighting in the cruiserweight division. Robin Safar has an undefeated professional record of 16-0, including 12 knockout victories.[3]

Robin Safar has gained attention for being sparring partners with UFC world champion Sean Strickland [4] and social media influencer turned professional boxer Jake Paul[5][6]. Robin Safar is coached by former world champion Hasim Rahman's brother IBN Cason[7] who is also the coach of the Bulgarian heavyweight fighter Kubrat Pulev[8][9][10]

Early life

Robin Safar was raised in Visättra, Sweden, a municipality in southern Stockholm.[11] He is the son of a Swedish mother and a middle eastern father. Robin's father migrated to Sweden in the early 80s, driven by political instabilities and the pursuit of better opportunities. It was in Sweden that he then met Robin's mother, and together, they had two children.[12][13][14]

Professional Career

Early Career

Robin Safar began his professional boxing career at the age of 19 for hammarby IF, gaining recognition after his fourth professional fight at a 'Sauerland' boxing event in Solna, Sweden ran by the Sauerland brothers, in 2017. At this point, he attracted the attention of a talent agent and other industry experts, leading to suggestions for him to explore opportunities in the United States. In 2018, Robin decided to relocate for his boxing career.[15][16]

Cruiserweight Division

In 2019, Robin had his inaugural fight in the United States against Alfredo Contreras, achieving a first-round TKO and advancing his record to 9-0. Subsequently, he maintained an undefeated 16-0 professional record, earning acknowledgment as a promising athlete.

A notable challenge in Robin's career arose when facing DeShon Webster. Following a year-long hiatus due to a torn bicep, he made a return to the ring, securing a TKO victory in the fifth round of the fight.[17]
