Youth Career Robert Page-Smith played for Manchester United F.C. Academy at the age of 8 until he was released by Manchester United F.C. due to lack of game time. When Robert was 10 he had signed for Norwich City F.C. and got released when he was 14. Robert Page-Smith then took a break from football, due to rejection from many clubs. Robert got back into football two years later and played for Basingstoke Town F.C., and was later signed for Bolton Wanderers F.C..

Next Step After Retirement Robert Page-Smith retired at the age of 35 after an effortless season at West Ham United F.C., scoring 3 goals in his final season of his career. Robert Page-Smith, after retirement had started a furniture company called R.P-Smithy, in 1981, which was later bought for £4.12 million and renamed to Peter Jones which then declared bankruptcy in 2001.

Managerial Career Robert Page-Smith had passed his FA Level 2 Coaching Badge in early 2002.

Robert Page-Smith then became a manager at South Reading F.C. for his debut season as a manager, and then resigned the following season.

Robert then took up a vacant position at Derby County F.C. in the 2002/03 season. Robert then got sacked in the middle of the 2003/04 season. With Robert getting sacked, he then announced his managerial retirement after 3 unsuccessful seasons as a manager.
