Rob (Robert David) Wheeler is a British recording artist, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist known for his acoustic singer-songwriter, Americana and country music crossovers.

Early years

Wheeler was born in Barthomley in Cheshire, England. Inspired by his heroes, The Beatles; Wheeler began writing songs and joined various pop and rock bands. Wheeler was educated at Burslem college in Staffordshire.

Career

Following the death of Wheeler's paternal grandfather in 2015, Wheeler sought comfort in songwriting, with what would become the debut album A Little Ghost Full of Songs. The reaction to this album[1] spurred on the creation of follow up album Ten Embers[2].

In 2021, Wheeler was awarded the Songwriter of the Year Award at the Arc Radio Listener Awards[3] and entered into a global songwriting agreement with Bucks Music Group[4][5][6]

In 2023, Wheeler recorded his third album in Nashville, Tennessee alongside Jeff Trott, Steve Dorff, Fred Eltringham and Carnival Music’s Marla Cannon-Goodman; Mando Saenz and Waylon Payne.[7]

Personal life

Wheeler is a The Beatles historian and collector.
