Rob Anderson is an American social media influencer and comedian. He first gained notability in 2020 with his Gay Science web series on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Career

In 2020 during the COVID-19 outbreak, Anderson left his career as a marketing executive after finding success posting comedy videos on TikTok.[1]

In June 2020 he posted a satirical science video explaining why gay men prefer their coffee iced.[2] After noticing its popularity, he developed the concept into a web series called Gay Science, which "explains gay stereotypes with fake science, often flipping the end result into something positive."[3] As of June 2022 there are over 40 episodes.[4]

In 2021, Anderson published The Fergamerican National Anthem, a picture book based on American singer Fergie’s infamous 2018 rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. The book went viral and captured the attention of Steph Curry, Fergie, and national news outlets.[5][6]

Anderson was named one of OUT Magazine’s most influential LGBTQ+ people of 2022. [3]

In 2022 he performed in the Heartthrob Live comedy tour.[7]

Personal life

Anderson lives in New York City.[8] He is openly gay.[9]
