Rim Jallouli (Arabic: ريم الجلولي) is a Tunisian academic researcher specializing in digital economy, marketing strategy, and emerging technologies. She is recognized for establishing Tunisia’s first institution dedicated to digital economy studies and her contributions to international digital policy.[1]
Education
She earned a PhD in marketing & management from the University of Tunis El Manar & University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli, France in 2006. Her doctoral thesis, titled "Innovation and Market Orientation: The Case of Art Products,".[2] She obtained habilitation in marketing and management sciences from the University of Manouba, in 2012.
Career
In 2011, Jallouli became the founding dean of the Higher School of the Digital Economy (ESEN) - University of Manouba, Tunisia's first academic institution focused on the digital economy.[3] She co-founded the Tunisian Association of the Digital Economy (ATEN) in 2013. She also co-founded the annual International Conference on the Digital Economy (ICDEc) in 2016.
She has served as a consultant for ICESCO (Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization), contributing to initiatives on cultural policies.[4][5]
Awards and Recognition
- Best Reviewer Award (2013): Awarded by the Global Business and Technology Association for contributions to international business research.[6]
- Afrik Digital Marketplace Prestigious Award (2017): Recognized for advancing digital education in Tunisia.[7]
Rim Jallouli was featured in an interview with Sayidaty magazine, discussing the importance of integrating new technologies into university curricula to enhance students' readiness for the future job market.[8]
