Ridawa is a small village of 2434 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ridawa depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ridawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Ridawa's pin code is 345033[4], and village code is 02039300. The area of Ridawa is segregated as 547.47 hectares unirrigated, the 1871.62 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 15.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
