Thomas Ison (b. 5th October, 2007), known as Ricky Jamaraz, is a musician from Nottingham. He began his musical career by learning guitar during lockdown, at the age of twelve. Since then, he has released six albums, with a seventh likely to be released in 2024. Ricky's 2022 song 'Read Between the Lines' was featured on an episode of BBC Music Introducing in August 2022,[1] and he was also featured in a second episode where he performed 'Microwave' and 'Infatuated' live to the BBC.[2] Ricky has been commonly compared to Wilbur Soot, in way of appearance and musical similarities, but has expressed his dislike for the man in 2022 song 'Heartbreaker'.[3] In November 2023, Ricky started experimenting with 4-track recorders and decided to release his seventh official album by making the songs only with cassette recorders.
